Annual Calendar Year Consumption

House Bill 3693 (Government Code §22641 (b)), which was passed by the Texas Legislature in 2007, requires governmental entities to publish consumption and payment information for various utility services used. In order to comply with this requirement, the following consumption information is being provided for the City of Kennedale in regards to its own usage:

Electricity and TCAP

The City of Kennedale purchases its electricity from Gexa Energy. In an effort to raise awareness about electricity prices, and their impact on Texas communities and residents, please reference the Texas Coalition for Affordable Power (TCAP). As a TCAP member, the City of Kennedale saves as much as 20% off of the average energy rate that they would have paid without TCAP, freeing up those dollars to be used for other City programs and services. 

Natural Gas

The City of Kennedale purchases its natural gas from Atmos Energy.

Water

The City of Kennedale is a municipal water provider and provides water to itself. The supplemental water purchased from the City of Fort Worth is reflected in the numbers above.
