It is the policy of our department to aggressively investigate suspected violations of the law. Officers are strictly prohibited from engaging in biased-based (racial) profiling. Interested parties can view the annual Racial Profiling Report here (PDF). Anyone who believes that a Kennedale officer has engaged in racial profiling with respect to any person (including themselves) is urged to file a complaint. Complaints must be submitted in writing to the Chief of Police or his designee and must include:
- Time of alleged profiling
- Location of alleged profiling
- Details of the incident
- Identity or description of the officer(s) involved
- Identity, address, and telephone number of the complaining party
The complaining party shall receive notice of the disposition of the complaint within a reasonable period of time.
