Fire & Life Safety Education
Fire and Life Safety Education is a cornerstone of Fire Prevention
The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and providing public education programs and materials.
Examples of education programs and materials include:
- Cooking Safety
- CPR and First Aid Training
- Disaster Preparedness
- Electrical Safety
- Fire Safety and Home Evacuation Planning
- Pool Safety
- Smoke Detectors
- Stop the Bleed
Fire Prevention Week occurs each year during the week of October 9th to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire. Please visit the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Prevention Week website for more information.
The Kennedale Fire Department hosts a Public Safety Open House each year during Fire Prevention Week.
