Pet owners are required by ordinance to restrict their animals to a secured enclosure, which is defined as a fenced area or structure that is:
- Locked;
- Capable of preventing the entry of the general public, including children;
- Capable of preventing the escape or release of a dog;
- Clearly marked as containing a dangerous dog; and
- In conformance with the requirements for enclosures established by the animal control officer.
Owners can, of course, take their animal(s) for a walk, provided they are always restrained with a hand-held leash and all manure/droppings are disposed of.
