At 4:08 p.m. Kennedale police officers received a call of shots fired in the 6300 block of Treepointe Drive. The caller stated that multiple suspects, possibly males, had fired several shots and fled the scene. On arrival, officers discovered a deceased 18 year old male laying in the street. Multiple witnesses were present and several were identified for interviewing later. Crime scene officers are working with investigators at this time to process the scene for evidence. Kennedale police officers are working in conjunction with the Arlington and Mansfield Police Departments to identify the suspects. Initial reports are that the suspect(s) and the victim attend high school together in Arlington. This offense may be the result of an earlier incident between the suspect(s) and the victim at school. The victim has not been positively identified at this time.
