The City of Kennedale is currently updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, a FEMA-required document that identifies natural hazards affecting our community and outlines actions to reduce long-term risk to people, property, and critical infrastructure.
The Hazard Mitigation Plan helps the City:
- Identify risks such as flooding, severe weather, and other natural hazards
- Prioritize mitigation projects that reduce future disaster impacts
- Maintain eligibility for certain state and federal disaster mitigation funding
Public Participation
Public input is a critical part of this process. The City will provide multiple opportunities for residents, businesses, and stakeholders to review the draft plan and share feedback.
