Minimum qualifications to apply are:
TCFP Basic Structural Firefighter AND TX DSHS Paramedic
TX DSHS Paramedic OR NREMT Paramedic (Must be TX DSHS certified by date of hire if reciprocity or initial certification)
Current Paramedic Students may apply, however candidate must be TX DSHS certified by date of hire

The Kennedale fire department's hiring process consists of multiple stages
Complete a Personal History Statement within assigned timeframe
Complete a Physical Agility Test at the Kennedale Fire Department
If you have have a Physical Agility Test Certificate from Tarrant County College that is dated within six months of application, you do not have to complete our Physical Agility Test.
Pass a comprehensive Background Investigation
Complete a Panel Interview and Chief's Interview
Receive a Conditional Offer of Employment
Pass a Medical Evaluation Screening, Psychological Evaluation, and Polygraph Evaluation
Complete uniform sizing and request
