PLAYGROUNDS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Beginning Thursday, April 2, 2020, all City of Kennedale playgrounds (including the Splash Pad at Sonora) will be closed until further notice in ongoing efforts to minimize the potential spread of COVID-19 in our community.
The parks themselves – including trails, basketball courts, fishing dock, pavilions, and the disc golf half-course – will remain open, but play structures and swings will be marked as not for use at this time. Staff will continue to evaluate the safety of public access to these amenities, as it may become necessary to close them as well. We will keep you updated.
When using the available areas of the parks, you are reminded to practice social distancing, to refrain from playing any contact sport, and to avoid gatherings of any number of people who do not reside within the same household or living unit.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to aim to protect the health and safety of our residents and employees.
