This board advises and formulates recommendations to the City Council for the use, improvement, and growth of parks and recreation activities within the city. The board is also responsible for the development and implementation of community events. Regular Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

The Mayoral Red Kettle Challenge is a fun way for the smaller cities in the DFW metroplex to raise money while enjoying some friendly competition. Members of the City Council, various Boards and Commissions as well as Police, Fire and employees of the City of Kennedale will be ringing at the entrance of Walmart on 287 & Little Road from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

The Regional Transportation Council (RTC), the transportation policy board associated with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), has scheduled a public meeting on December 12, 2022, at noon.
KKB engages residents and businesses to take greater responsibility for improving the community’s appearance and environment; and develop beautification events, programming, and outreach. The membership of KKB also serves as the Tree Advisory Board and the Tree City USA liaison.
KKB is a Keep Texas Beautiful’s (KTB) affiliate. The KTB mission is to educate and engage Texans to take responsibility for improving their community environment. Efforts are focused in three major areas: litter prevention, beautification, and waste reduction.
