The whole family is welcome at STEM Club. Each month features a series of stations with experiments, challenges, and hands-on activities that will require you to work together as a team, using creativity and imagination to solve problems as a team.
What is STEM? STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise enabling the development of STEM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.

The Board of Adjustment hears resident requested appeals of decisions made by the city staff in their interpretation of the city’s planning and zoning ordinances.
The Building Board of Appeals Hears appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by the building official in their application interpretation of the technical provisions of the various building codes adopted by the city, and demolition of sub-standard structures.
Members serve on both boards. Meetings are only held when there are cases to consider.

This History Lecture Series is presented by Mayor Brian Johnson, with support and light refreshments provided by the Kennedale Historical Society. This month's guest lecturers are Professor John R. Lundberg and Journalist Jim Frisinger.
From the days of the Caddo Nation and the Battle of Village Creek to becoming a favorite local swimming and fishing hole, this area has a rich history. It’s hosted Easter egg hunts on Frog Island in the early 1900s and mid-century picnics at Kennedale Mountain. Today, it houses the 58-acre City of Arlington Southwest Nature Preserve.
