10/7 — Terroristic Threat
900 block of Wildcat Way
On this date, a suspect was arrested for terroristic threat. The complaint stemmed from a football game at Kennedale High School on October 4, 2019. The suspect, an adult male student, allegedly made a statement to witnesses that he was going to his vehicle to get a gun and shoot another student. This caused the witnesses to be concerned enough to notify police officers working security for the stadium. An officer immediately notified district officials and requested that the stadium be evacuated while the suspect was sought by other officers. During the evacuation of the stadium, the suspect was located and detained for questioning. Due to not having a witness present at that time, and the suspect denying the statement, he was released pending further investigation. He was allowed to leave after it was confirmed that he did not have a car or a weapon. On October 7, 2019 a warrant was secured for the suspect’s arrest after detectives were able to obtain a written witness statement. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail for booking.

The step-father confirmed the victim’s account but then, after a phone call, refused to answer any further questions on the advice of an attorney.
