5/26 — Abandoned/ Found Property400 block of Municipal DriveAt 7:18 a.m. a citizen turned a found wallet into police. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The wallet was placed in property for safe keeping.
5/26 — Possession Control Substance1000 block of W. Kennedale ParkwayAt 8:38 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress call. Arriving officers observed the vehicle in question and stopped it for investigation. One of the occupants, an adult female, was found to be in possession of prescription narcotics not prescribed to her as well as marijuana and a glass pipe. The female was arrested and transported to jail for booking.
5/27 — Burglary3800 block of S. New Hope RoadAt 1:03 p.m. a victim reported that his business office was burglarized. Unknown person(s) entered the office and removed property valued at $2,000.
5/28 — Burglary6300 block of Tealpond DriveAt 11:27 a.m. a victim reported the burglary of a tool shed. Unknown person(s) removed property valued at $1,040.
5/28 — Child Abuse400 block of Municipal DriveAt 8:17 a.m. a detective received a report from CPS regarding child abuse/neglect. The case is under investigation.
5/28 — Possession Control Substance600 block of E. Kennedale ParkwayAt 2:51 p.m. officers responded to a theft in progress. Three suspects and their vehicle were located still on the scene. The driver was sitting in the vehicle while the other two suspects were walking toward the vehicle. During an interview, the driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and transported to jail for booking. The other two suspects were released at the scene.
5/29 — Possession Drug Paraphernalia400 block of Susan DriveAt 4:53 a.m. officers responded to a burglary in progress. An adult male was holding another adult male in custody, accusing him of breaking into a shed on the property. It was determined that the male being held down had been invited by the other male’s spouse to come to the residence. When the invited male was found on the property, he was assaulted by the husband and his cell phone was taken and locked in a box in the shed. When officers recovered the cell phone, they discovered methamphetamine paraphernalia and residue in the box. The wife admitted to being the owner of the box. She was charged with the paraphernalia. The non-resident male did not want to press any charges for assault and robbery. They were released at the scene.
5/30 — Hit and Run Accident300 block of Sublett RoadAt 5:11 p.m. two drivers contacted police to report that their vehicles had been struck by a hit and run driver. The vehicles were traveling in the same direction on Sublett Road and were being followed by a black Chevrolet truck. The truck attempted to pass the two vehicles and struck both of them on the driver side of each vehicle. The truck then kept going, turning south on New Hope Road. One of the drivers was able to get photos of the suspect vehicle and license plate.
5/30 — Burglary of Vehicle300 block of S. New Hope RoadAt 8:38 p.m. a victim reported that her vehicle had been entered and gone through. Nothing was missing and no forced entry was observed.
5/29 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000200 block of Valley LaneAt 5:57 a.m. officers responded to a theft in progress. A business employee had reported for work and observed an unknown male driving away in a truck pulling a trailer belonging to the business. The suspect wrecked into a tree and fled the scene on foot before officers’ arrival. The suspect vehicle contained identifying items for the suspect. The trailer was released to the business owner while the truck was impounded.
5/31 — Abandoned Vehicle1000 block of N. Little School RoadAt 11:30 a.m. an officer responded to an abandoned vehicle in the traffic lane on Little Road at Potomac Parkway. The vehicle was towed for safekeeping when the owner couldn’t be contacted.
6/01 — Injury Child/Elderly/Disabled200 block of S. Kenney StreetAt 9:14 p.m. an officer received a report of physical abuse of a child. The complainant, who is the mother of the abused children, stated that she left her three children in the care of an adult male friend for approximately two hours. On her return, the mother observed injuries to two of the children while giving them a bath. The children stated that the adult male had caused the injuries when he became angry. After getting information for a report, the officer contacted Cook Children’s Hospital to notify them that the mother was on the way to have the children examined. A report was also made to CPS.
6/01 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)6700 block of Lindale RoadAt 8:10 p.m. an officer was making a property check when a vehicle was discovered that wasn’t supposed to be on property. A computer check revealed the vehicle to be stolen out of Fort Worth. The vehicle was impounded to be held for Fort Worth police.
6/01 — Theft $100 to $750400 block of Municipal DriveAt 1:43 p.m. a victim reported that he placed a video game deck for sale on a web site. When the victim met up with the buyer, the victim was paid in counterfeit money. The suspect drove away with the game deck.
