Kennedale Police Department is accepting applications from young adults interested in criminal justice, law enforcement, or public service to join the KPD 2021 Youth Police Academy! During this two-week program (June 7–16, 2021), you will meet and train with officers from various law enforcement fields. Classes will include officer demonstrations, traffic stops, K-9 demos, lifting fingerprints, firearm safety, and building clearing.

Who is eligible? Qualified applicants who will be enrolled in 8th thru 12th grades during the 2021-22 schoolyear.

** All applicants are subject to a criminal background check prior to acceptance. Class size is limited to 25 cadets and COVID-19 mitigation protocol will be enforced.**

Applications are available at KPD (401 Municipal Drive, Kennedale, TX 76060). Completed applications including parental consent forms must be received by 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021. These items can be turned in at KPD (401 Municipal Drive in Kennedale) or at either the KHS or KJHS SRO Office.
